Pitch Black

Pitch Black

A Poem by Joshua Daniel

Your love is as thorns in my flesh,

imbuing a poison of eternal inclination.

Your vines garrote my brain

with no rest.

An infection,

your pestilence won.

I affirm your delusory tongue

it flicks like flame

and beats as drum.

Explore my heart

and see what you find.

Light-years of blackness.

Tightly fastened in your bind.
