Death to a soul

Death to a soul

A Poem by JRB
"

Those factors of thought reflections will dominate

"

A loss is painful and such a waste

Leaving hurting to take its place

Nothing more than a bitter taste

Lingering in my soul as your disgrace

The lack of what our soul desires can leave us in great pain . The emptiness of what we once had can leave us trembling in agony and can make even the happiest of memories cut our hearts like heated razor blades . Your words remind me of how I will never forget certain parts of my past .

Absence does not make fonder, absence leaves emptiness and hopelessness and scars and .. a taste of sadness taken in the fall of too many salt tears

You write words that make me think... almost too much, but, thank you.

I would describe this...as an aftertaste? How I would hate to be somebody's aftertaste...such a horrible place...such a disgrace.

Sometimes love slips through our hands because we aren't truly in a position to receive it. Sometimes the loss is due to neglect and sometimes through no fault of our own. I guess the best we can do is to reflect on the reason for the loss of love so that we are more prepared the next time to accept it when it comes our way.
