It hurts less

It hurts less

A Poem by JRB
"

A loss really is painful and it really is “only a matter of time”…

"

A loss is painful such a waste
Leaving hurting to take its place
Nothing more than a bitter taste
Lingering in my soul as its disgrace

So now, I am spying on reality
To catch a glimpse of knowing
The problem is with reality
Is to what truth is showing

You created a picture that hurts to define
With no passion, reasons or rhyme
With your descriptions lost in this time
Filling and tormenting my inner mind

If that was your quest, to break my heart
To leave me alone, sitting in the dark
Your job was successful, from the start
Yet it is only a matter of time, the pain will depart

if it hurt less, we've been through so much more or have desensitized so much in comparison to provide cushion for the future fall....the recognition of strength and length is understanding weakness and the short amount of time we truly have to make the connection or disconnection.
