No One Cares

I walk through the daily struggles of life
Seeing new and old faces, and playing with the same strife
I have new and old problems to face every day
But when I think about them a sinister voice seems to say
‘No one cares that you are fading away.
No one cares enough to help you today.’
My parents see what their eyes want to see
Who can I be if I cannot be me?
I feel stuck in one place as if frozen
And that my heart has completely been broken
Pretty soon more people will stop caring and start to forget
And they cannot see that for them I’m filled with hate and regret
There is however one person different from them all
He could love me for me
If he would notice me he would be the key
Until then love will never make my heart fly
Because my hurt and pain will never die
Is there any point in placing any blame?
Is my silence the reason why I suffer this pain?
He only sees what he wants to see
Who can I be if I cannot be me?
If he would only notice me
Then I could love and be free
But still that voice is there to remind me
‘No one cares, and it is you who is to blame
They don’t care because you will not speak up and tell them your name.’
