Idiotic Ex

Idiotic Ex

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire

"

How could he ask me

If I would leave you.

The answer is no,

My love is true.

He wants this heart of mine,

But you alone hold the key.

I let you see inside

Because you’re the one I need.

You help me through the tough times

When all he did was hinder.

For as long as the Sun shines

Our love will never see winter.

It might get bitter cold

But until the end

It will sparkle like gold.

He says it is a fairy tale

And that is the way it might seem.

Sometimes I even doubt it

Because it seems like a dream.
