Kill Me

Kill Me

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire

Kill me softly

Kill me sweetly

I don't want to feel this pain

Unimaginable

Unbearable

But I am the one to blame

Let me wither

Let me die

Let my flame cease to be

My angel

My light

With him I can be free

Aching

Anticipating

The tears will come again fast

His words

His kisses

How I long for them to last

Facing life

Facing death

Pain is engulfing me entirely

My heartbeat

My life

I want it to cease to be

Wanting him

Waiting for him

How he makes my heart fly

Losing him

Loving him

Dreading our final goodbye
