My Company

My Company

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire

Forget I said that I needed you

Forget that I even cared

Your gonna walk away from me anyhow

So why bother.

Just forget my name

And my number

Cause in the end I am just a waste of time.

Forget me altogether

Down to the last memory of me

I wont let myself get too far in

Cause whenever I do I end up with nothing

All I’ll have is a bowl of heartbreak

And a spoon full of misery

To keep me company

Just like all the rest

Your gonna leave me

All alone in the shadows

Crying for you to come back

And just like all the rest you’ll turn your back

And leave me there calling your name

So lets stop the games

I wont let myself get too far in

Cause whenever I do I end up with nothing

All I’ll have is a bowl of heartbreak

And a spoon full of misery

To keep me company
