COIL

COIL

A Poem by Jeana Allen

i speak these words
you see through my lies
i tell you i love you
but look into my eyes

the languages we speak
must not be the same
you know the truth
this is my twisted game

i coil you in
won't let you escape
it shifts and molds you
to this unrecognizable shape

it's what i do best
leave me to my own devices
i know how to f**k things up
i already know what the price is

get mysef something good
and i'll tear it apart
show you and the whole world
i really have no heart

i coil you in
won't let you escape
it shifts and molds you
to this unrecognizable shape

don't believe me yet?
give me another chance
i never knew the definition
of this useless thing you call romance

i coil you in
make you blind
i'll rip you to shreds
and leave you behind
