REPENT

REPENT

A Poem by Jeana Allen

Repent!

Confess to me your sins

Let your wrath out on me

This is where it all begins

There's no salvation for you here

Nothing but this empty shell

Another someone for you to crush

Another place for your soul to dwell

Try to stay calm

In the midst of this madness

Hard to see light

Surrounded by such darkness

Feel the pain start to surface

Vision seems to be blurred

Memories rise from deep within

Like nightmares most obscured

There's no safe haven for you now

Every corner full of violence

Every blissful thought

Now occupied by deafening silence

Try to stay calm

in the midst of this madness

Hard to see light

Surrounded by such sadness
