hiatus.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

everything is on
pause
the world has stopped
while i listen to echoes
of words i used to know
everything is on
hold
aching brain hollowed
autumnal winds rustling through
the crisp fallen leaves contained within
everything is too
much
i can't handle the touch of others
when all i want
is to feel the clasp of your fingers
twirled round mine
in the darkness of my hermitage

A lovely writing with that tranquil gentleness i have come to associate you with..i love the format..
Life comes to sing the most beautiful notes in these pauses..we are one with the pristine cycle of our own breathing entwined with desire,yearning,disgust..all and everything entwined in that tenderness.

Yes! the longing! I love it. it's what makes life livable. the ache and need that bleeds from the silence.

the structure of the is fantastic.

reminds me of when I'm meditating and life seeps in a take hold of my journey. pulls me right into the deepest hungers of my self.

awesome Wren!

love the structure and the gentle resonance of your voice...there are words here that are distinctly you...which make this poem both distinguished and unique...

To long and be longed for, what more could we possibly wish for.

Autumn is when I am at war with my feelings, part of me is so happy it has cooled down and wants to run, the other part wants to shut down and cover up on the couch dozing in and out of sedated consciousness. This feels like the afghan my grandma made me......snuggle up buttercup.

It's wonderful, the preparation for hibernation,
see you in the spring!

I loved this, full of awareness, and honest poetry expression,
no clichés no tautologies. wonderful. You have been missed.
Love the new photo of you.
