another poem I wrote a long while back

nothing's going to help

nothing can change this

you've lost all hope

you've become so hopeless

 

I was there to help you out

to help ease your pain

I would've sorted it out

but you said 'no thanks'

 

you're at the end of your road

you're holding the knife

too close to your wrist

another cut

another life

lost to the dark

everyone hates your name

they all hate you

am I the only one

who sees the real you

 

I would've helped you out

save you from a cold grave

been the one to help

ease your sorrow and pain

you're at the breaking point

 

holding the sharp knife

too close to your wrist

another cut

another soul

lost to the dark

and I only wish

I could have been the one

I only wish

I was the one dying away

 

instead it's you

you're drifting away

instead it's you

losing yourself

on the edge of a cliff

I see you standing there

holding a sharp knife

I see you crying there

I just wish it was me there

instead of you

taking all the pain
