Prelude

Prelude

A Poem by Joel Paulin Mendoza
"

This is a poem about drawing inspiration from a special someone.

"

Where hearts entails, a love refrains

When hurts prevails, a poem explains

Search the reason no mind can sail

Sea of the queries in life’s affair

Can’t lie with words astound to flame

Can sigh a million times to fame

My love indeed sought to pray

My Muse I heed prolong your stay

Ti’s time to say to start the fair

It’s now to seek for our love’s lair

The thought I caught I fought to wrote

The verse outsourced I forced to quote

This I call is an invitation

For thee, my dearest to come with me

Sail into the pages and letters

Swim into the minds of our writers
