Today

Why do we let ourselves be so upset,
when today is the only day you might get,
We complain and moan,
And act like we are all on our own,
Maybe one day we will see,
How lucky we can really be,
for we can say come what may,
But a smile on my face will stay,
The day we choose to be in control,
Is the day we can begin to find our soul.
Joy is a choice,
a choice we must rejoice,
For if it was up to fate,
Than most of our feelings would consist of hate.
so unto you this day,
Choose where you're happiness will lay,
In the hands of lady luck,
Our in your heart.
For with a choice is how it must start,
So stand up tall today,
And let nothing stand in your way,
Your only as strong as you let yourself be,
And your only as weak as you let yourself think,
There is a fine line in between, negativity and self belief,
So hold your head high,
And don't ever just sigh and say that's just life,
Cause you only get one chance with today,
So don't regret the path you lay.
