Does anybody know you?

Does anybody know you?

A Poem by jordan burger

Does anybody really know you?
The you when your home alone, in the dark.
When the feeling of loneliness starts,
Does anybody really know your heart
Or the dreams you have for your life
They don't get why you touched your wrists with that knife,
They don't understand all the tears you cried,
Or know all the times you wished you'd just die,
They don't care why you spend your days high,
And why the smile you show is a lie.
But even though at times you may feel all alone,
You still have dreams for something more.
Your life now, one day you'll shut that door.
Even if when I look at you, I may not get what I see,
And you can't understand the bipolar in me,
We can still help each other achieve our dreams,
Just because your life up to this part may not be a perfect love song,
And you feel like all you can do is wrong.
One day all your pain will be gone,
You'll find that person who looks at you and knows what he sees,
The person who will accept you through everything.
Life sometimes sucks,
And you cant see through the muck.
We don't always understand what our life holds,
Maybe there is a reason somethings are untold.
If we got to see our pain before it came,
Would we still go through life the same,
But our potential is once thing we can see,
Just look in the mirror and believe in what you wish to be.
