A Stage Play by joshua deathdealer
"

This is a scene out of the movie Somewhere In Time.

"
The man of dreams is almost faded now.
The one that I have created in my mind.
The sort of man each woman dreams of
in the deepest most secret reaches of her heart.
I can almost see him now before me.
What would I say to him if he were really here?
Forgive me, I've never known this feeling.
I've lived without it all my life.
Is it any wonder then I failed to recognize you?
You brought it to me for the first time.
Is there anyway that I can tell you how my life has changed.
Anyway at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me.
There is so much to say and I cannot find the words.
Except for these. I love you.
And such I would say to him if he really were here.

A scene out of the movie Somewhere In Time starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve. This movie was my one of my inspirations to start writing poetry. I believe that I was twelve when I first saw it. Beautiful film.

One of my favorite movies. I cry every time I see it. Rachmaninoff wrote the music that is used in this movie as the theme. If you don't know his music, I think of him as one of the most romantic composers at the turn of the century. What a wonderful poem. You captured the ephemeral quality of the love they shared

wow... I can see how this inspired you to want to write. Those lines captured soo much emotion and Jane Seymour's performance only brought those words to life.

What a different way to start writing poetry. Most that I know started from pain or from love..........this is so sweet.

This is very sweet. Sometimes when we can't find that perfect being that we want on our side, we make him up to fill in our sadness, our despair...
Love isn't a fairytale but more of a barrier to put down till we reach the end.
