"
when I think of you
which is never ceasing
a flood of emotions run
through the valleys of my heart
my love and responsibilities
form constant thoughts in my mind
the scars in my demeanor
is the time lost between us
when I think of you
I think of us running through
the theme parks, hand in hand
your confidence in me is staggering
when I think of you
I think of you holding me the whole feature film
and kissing my cheek when sadness arose
you are the princess of my realm
when I think of you
thoughts of your undying love surface
you love like me, unconditionally
your person and your beauty flatter me
the joys that explode in my heart
when you dance with me, are heavenly
the shades of time slow to miracle perfection
it makes me who I am as a man

graced by Gods greatest gift, a soul of an angel

its so nice to see such a dedicated father who is not afraid, never hesitates to show how much he loves his daughter. this is going to mean more and more to her as she grows older. the love you show her is so important, it really will set the stage for the rest of her life. but i can tell she is very lucky to have you in her life. :)

ps. i love the name anya!

Though normally I would come down on sentimental things out of general principle, I find this rather compelling in the way it actually expresses a genuine feeling of affection and care. You've done well here, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

There can be no sweeter or more innocent "unconditional" love than that of our children. How any parent could ever hurt one is unimaginable, but it happens. It sounds like you really understand what a gift our children are to us. What a wonderful treat they are in a life that can, otherwise, be so hard to face, at times. They can give us strength and make us become better people, just with their love.

You say it all with

it makes me who I am as a man

I hope she will someday read and appreciate this wonderfully written tribute to her.

A nicely penned poem!

yep, there are no words are there. Just pure emotion.

btw, check the third stanza... it catches a bit in relation to the other ones.

cute kid, don't ever take yer eye off 'em, they'll lay a two by four across the back of your head for a lollipop, you can see it in their precious moments twinkling eyes and dancing freckles.... make sure you can see both her hands at all times.

its rightly said- one realizes what children mean once they experience parenthood...I know your daughter will be very happy and proud when she sees what you had put down for her...cute and charming write indeed!
