Kiss of Death

Kiss of Death

A Poem by JR Padilla
"

Farewell, and thank you.

"

Flee thyself, my lovely butterfly
for your beauty ceased itself to exist.
Pry beyond the austere firmament,
and let the sun amass few embers from your florid wings.
Flail as one might flail under the throbbing agony
and growl in silence so as my ears will be on thee..
beam still in spite of smoldered skin;
and flutter like there is a lifeless frailty.

fly before me, my pretty sprite
for these gloomy hands were overwhelmed with madness.
Leave some glimpse of your holiness,
and assure me with false hopes to believe.
Prowl through the horizon of despair,
wobble above the atmosphere of sorrow,
and rest onto another palm instead.
Vow in front of me endlessly to prowl along never in my despondency;

Forget me forever my exquisite mistake,
for loathing you is the least thing that I can do.
Prattle otherwise to bizarre company,
and move with brusque to emptiness.
Indulge yourself to curiosity;
and coax your mind to hollowness.
Farewell my little butterfly, you never flunk to enthrall my eyes.
You once act as if you are the truth, in this world with abundant lies.
