"You Don't Understand"

"You Don't Understand"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

My heart bleeds sorrowful pain.
At the first sight of your face,
I feel that I have nothing to gain.
I cower, feeling disgraced.

I mope with my head down.
My face holds a dull frown.
Love is a road to misery.
Nothing in life, very pleasing.

I feel like a lost man.
Always running from you.
Things were fine til love began.
My heart was just crushed in two.

Please find the key.
And free me from this cage.
Can you not see?
My heart’s not something to wage.

So take me for being me.
Or go on your way.
I’m looking to be set free.
That’s all I’ve to say.
