"No Time Wasted"

"No Time Wasted"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

Does the world wait

for a man to find himself?

No.

It sprints by without a second glance.

Leaving him in a cloud of despair.

The cloud clears and now it's too late;

his life has gone too, with the World,

Leaving his lifeless body on the

ice

cold

solid

ground.

People continue to pass by,

but just stare,

as if to mock him.

His empty eyes stare up at them.

With him he bears a sign-

"Have you seen my life?"

No responses.

Just fear and self-pity fills the air.

The sidewalk breaks away,

sending him down.

Down into the devious trench below.

He collides with the cement at the bottom.

And there,

his lost life lies;

along with the world,

beside him.
