"Desperation"

"Desperation"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

A man once wondered what it would be like if he

touched a goddess' soft, smooth skin.

He wondered what it would be like to brush her thigh,

with his rough hands.

What it would be like to hear her say,

"I love you."

To feel her lips on his and feel them become one.

Bind together for an eternity.

Feel each of his senses

heighten

at each end of his body.

Know that at that moment,

he could never imagine himself anywhere,

but there.

To have her rest on his chest,

to be so at peace.

Feel so right.

That if she left at that moment,

his heart would fall out of his once concealed chest.

It belonged to her.

Fall into a never-ending pit of

desperation and pain.

His hole of sorrow would steal his heart

and never spit it back out.

Gone,

Forever.
