"Alice is Back'

"Alice is Back'

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

Living in a world unknown;

Alice in his Wonderland.

Paths swerve into pools of colors,

monsters around each corner.

Flowers tower over him,

a microscopic boy lost in a fictional world.

Tasting magnificent colors,

seeing intoxicating smells,

crying never-ending tears.

All he wants is to get back home.

He waits to see reality before him,

yet the characters continue to dance.

The Looking Glass has shattered,

No more can he return home.

This new home drowns him slowly,

as he fights for his last breath he speaks his last words.

"It was worth every second."

A most unusual way of putting the poem on the right side of the page, but very nicely written. And I like that you have chosen to keep Alice in Wonderland, sort of an analogy of your life and what you are going thru. Great poem too!
