IN MY SHADOWS

IN MY SHADOWS

A Poem by THE DAY DREAMER

In the dead sweaty corner
of the shadows sat I;
drowning my head in thin air,
filled with Cluttered thoughts and
fear descending in my eyes.
As tears race down my cheeks
  and die on my lips, I feel  numb
beneath my skin;
for the clock impatiently waits
to strike doom, leaving my bourne
in complete ruins.
As i close my eyes, I fall into the depths
of my own shadow;
A place so dark and haunted,
Where my demons reside;
A place where hope is  slaughtered,
and dreams are destroyed.
