DEAR MOTHER

DEAR MOTHER

A Poem by THE DAY DREAMER

Fear shall fear your might,
the boundless skies
shed tears on your wounds;
you have carried my joy to unimaginable
heights, for your love
is a nightingale’s song;deep and profound.

When I was a crawler, you have answered
my cries;
you would carry me in your arms,
soothing me, humming drowsy
lullabies.

Even the darkest spells cast,
fails to tear your soul apart;
for you inhale sadness and exhale love,
which, like the wave of the ocean
has sprawled over my malicious heart.

The apocalypse may commence,
great statues and monuments may fall;
and I shall stand embracing you,
in the form of an encircling wall.

Demons may arise from the infernal Wells;
horrifying spirits may haunt the night,
fear not, for I shall guard you
as long as my heart beats;
with all of my blood and might,
till I lie down in my grave
to forever close my eyes.
