the human novel.

the human novel.

A Poem by krystle
"

just a unasked for perception

"
I like to look at human beings as books.
we are periods, and exclamation points, and question marks.
we each have a story with a theme,
our lives could be as simple as a book that sits on a dusty shelf,
or as lively and used up as a book with a spine that is falling apart.
we hold our own world that people can either relate to or overlook.
the problem with books is they get doodled in,
filled with people trying to add their own taste to it, make us something we aren't.
completely misinterpreting the boldness of the important parts.
they get forsaken and replaced.
replaced by a new book with a glossy cover.
but one thing that is absolutely certain,
not one book in the world goes unnoticed.
you are there on the shelf, along with millions of other books waiting to be chosen.
and there will always be someone who doesn't like glossy covers.
don't allow yourself to be changed by someone who didn't stick around to read the last chapter.

I like the logic of the poem. Your words are true. I believe each of us are books. Different stories lived and different things learned. I liked how you described a person in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

thank you very much
I really like the similarity of a book as human being . I agree except that from my view fate writes its own words and maybe too often in a poor handwriting...great job.

Wow that is a compliment haha thank you!
That's a very interesting read. Just as a book which does not have much value when not devoured, the reader does not deserve it when he cant do that. Everything happens in it's own pace and you beautifully related to typical human life :)
