I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

A Poem by that-little-green-monster
"

This is about that one person that never thinks they do anything wrong.

"
I'm sorry,
I didn't realise it was all my fault.
I didn't think that it was my fault for getting hurt at,
The names you call me.

I'm sorry,
I didn't realise you're such a victim.
It's only a matter of time until people see the true you,
And find out the true me,
Instead of the monster you painted me to be.

I'm sorry,
I didn't realise you can never do anything wrong.
I guess the tears you caused me,
Are all my fault.
And I guess I'll take the blame.

I'm sorry,
I didn't realise you are an angel.
The mask you wear is very convincing.
But once you see it off,
You'll never be able to see it again.

I'm sorry,
I'm sorry for seeing you as your really are.
I'm sorry for knowing you're evil.
I'm sorry for thinking you were my best friend.
But most of all,
I'm sorry for letting you hurt me.

This poem is good, I like story telling throughout, however there are a few points I'd like to make:-

(1) I feel the punctuation actually gets in the way. I wonder if it would look better without it?
(2) You start in past tense then move into present tense. It reads better to keep it the same generally.
(3) "I'm sorry for seeing you as your really are." I think you meant "you really are".

Just my opinions and you may not agree. But keep writing, your work is good.
