Blood Runs Red

Blood Runs Red

A Poem by that-little-green-monster
"

A fictional story about a girl that cuts herself.

"
Blood runs red,
Just to help her feel.
Blood paints pictures on her skin,
Makes everything so real.

Blood runs red,
Simple fact,
She knows.
Yet mesmerized,
By the gentle crimson,
Pulsing out.

Blood runs red,
Such a sensation,
To be in charge of something for once.
To be in charge of the pain.
To hold the blade.

Oh my.
There is so much intensity in your writing.
The use of words, the punctuation, the punch lines, everything falls perfectly in place.
A great piece.
