LustA Poem by that-little-green-monsterA riddle poem I had to do for a class assignment.
I am unforgiving,
Ruthless, Dragging people one by one into my clutches. I am a knife, I wedge my way into your head, Once I'm in, I stay there until they can face the truth. I make people lonely, I make them want what they can't have. I am an old perfume, Sweet but suffocating. No one can escape me, Unless they aren't alone. I trick people, I force them to play my games. Tears complete me, And I acquire a lot. I sound like aggravated sighs, I feel like betrayal, I cause pain. I make people face things, They would otherwise bury, Deep into their sea of thoughts. I am what fools wise men, And punishes fools. © 2012 that-little-green-monster |
