threshold

threshold

A Poem by Karen D Reeves

i move into the space of which I am

the sentinels that once were

the guards of this sacred space

now recognizing me, allow me past

the threshold of what was and had to be

i am barely past but continue slowly forward

a new frontier ahead welcoming me home

flat earth giving way to stratosphere
