Depths

Depths

A Story by Chara

Throughout the entirety of my conquest, I have gone through different pathways-grass, soil, rocks, sand, pavements.  Sometimes ending up with waterfalls, trekking different mountains, cascading the entirety of me as I jump towards the depth of never ending waters. Though many times have I jumped, the fear accompanies me, attaching itself like wings on my back enabling me to fly, slowly consuming the rush and excitement inside. Never once did I fail to wonder when will I finally succumb to its depths.

I have also treaded the pathways leading to vast ocean. As beautiful as the sunsets it gives birth to, with its different ombré of hues, descends into overwhelming darkness. Throughout the enveloping nothingness, I bask in the comfort of silence. Though full of life, I swim in loneliness. As the currents slowly drift me away, never once did I fail to wonder when will I finally succumb to its depths.

I wonder when will I finally succumb.

I want to be one with the depths.
