courage.

something I lack

something that I wish engulfed me

instead of the fear swallowing me

like I'm drowning in ice water.

I'm plummeting headfirst into the chasm

with nothing to save me from the end

because my legs can't seem to kick

and my arms are flailing aimlessly.

everyone thinks that escape is easy.

almost textbook

but they don't realize how quickly and easily

that the voices can drag you under

When someone sends me a friend request I usually go to review something on their page. This piece you've written fairly resonated with vibrant imagery, especially "...the voices can drag you under." That is a very impactful way to end the write, powerful image.
