where is self-hope

Where is there hope at all in self? There is no serenity there, hence no peace. There is no courage there, thus no faith. There is in self absolutely no innate knowledge which can define wisdom and gain understanding; neither can it distinguish what is best the love of God or the fear of God. Alone self cannot differentiate the right from the wrong and the true from the false, so as to do the good and refrain from the evil: for that amounts to the application of Truth, and there be not the perfection of Truth in me. In and of myself I am being very nigh, save for life given, completely an empty void, Thanks be to the “Living God” for His Will, His Passion, and His Judgments are Life, Love, and Wisdom: my hope. Amen!
