The Firefly

I looked at the firefly and this came out of the huge writers block

The firefly,
That dances in the night,
Merrily glowing,
even when there is no light.

The firely,
Shines in the dark,
when there's no hope,
and Just despair.

The firefly,
Stays warm,
In a cold, cold night,
Having a hopeful insight.

The firefly,
Gives us hope of light,
when there is none in sight,
And Gives me a reason to write.

Thus hope sparks in a cold night,
And in the darkness of my life,
When there is no trust in my sight,
I look at, and follow it,
The light of the firefly.

Author's Note

This came after a huge writers block that I was suffering for the past 4 months. I know, this seems like written by a 12 year old. But please Take an easy shot of this one.

Phew!
So, firstly...Its nice to know that you came out of the writers block.
Its very strange yet interesting to know that writers like us can find inspiration in most of the things on the planet, from the worst of the worst to the best of the best, including a fire fly :)
The imagery in this piece is great, but I still believe that the touch of metaphor which you tried to give from the concept of a "firefly" still needs some polishing.

i like how metaphorically the firefly is the reason to keep going when times may seem down. its good dude, and we all intend to keep our heads high until we know we cant overcome a struggle.
