Kakorrhaphiophobia.

Kakorrhaphiophobia.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

Just short note - I hope you enjoy!

"

I can’t be this forever for you ingrates,

Clever ideas never cease to underwhelm you,

Be warned a fool’s leader seldom stays put,

Relax for death knows those idiotic few!

A flamboyant, feverish, enraged man is at the throats of the unappreciative crowds after all of what they have seen of talent and astonishment, the jealous ones. They cannot be pleased, they boast with gaudy austereness. But fools they are for a day will come where you get to look at them at the back of your heel, them biting your unforgiving dust. And after the rage comes a rigid threat. And a fool is he who ignores such a call. Yet why is it named fear of failure. Perhaps he has been beaten down for so long that he could no longer take it and ultimately lashes out. I did the best I could. My dear friend you are a brilliant poetic, literary mind, and whoever sees you unfit is indeed a foolish ingrate. Salutes with honor.

Title caught my attention. I like the quotes. I agree. A foolish leader will fall and leave nothing for the people to remember. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Thanks BR x
Very strong piece with quite a few surprises in the choice of words that are as interesting as they are effective. Excellent in its brevity!

Thank you for this timeless piece of writing my friend.

I'm not good with poetry, either writing or reviewing it. But I sense a lot of frustration in this write. I am a visual artist and I understand that frustration.

I too wish for release, and am able to at least hear the release in the repetition of the lines of your poem... angry, lashing out of fear and (perhaps) self-doubt. Same way I feel about my writing right now. Thanks for sharing.
