STOP THE INSANITY!!!

STOP THE INSANITY!!!

A Poem by Frieda P
"

just a bit of nonsense to quell the fires

"
Let's stop this in house cafe bickering
I suggest a food fight instead...
getting smacked upside the head
doesn't hurt half as bad as what's been said
it only leaves a bad taste in the mouth
let's get back to the joy of writing what's in our noggin
instead of letting all that raw sewage seep out
now that will surely whet your appetite
& no taste left for food,
sooo, here's to tomatoes in your face &
margaritas poured over your head
watch out for that flying dog!

This is priceless Frieda! Would that be grand, to hurl food full pace at the people who manage to anger us most! (Usually the ones we love and live with!) The final three lines reminded me of Tom&Jerry, in addition to your comical hot dog picture the "wacky races" kind of image came rushing into my head! Very fun and full of energy Frieda, this shows that all poetry can be great, even if it does not have incredible depth! Great work! :)

This reminds me of the soap opera at the last café I was posting at. I had to leave, as it was a poisonous atmosphere.
It also reminds me of a poem I wrote called: "Cuts like a knife"

Crazy, huh? Trace

Wow quite a story. Sounds like a soap opera.

You have no idea..................
Hahaha yes lets fight. Words are poisonous and sting but the smack up side the head or a good old fasioned food fight means more with less bite.

I love this one.

I agree- a chocolate cream pie and be done with it. Words are insidious weapons with their sharp edges and double entendres. Words stream and overflow drowning out the music being made. It is time to lay down gauntlets and go be who we are without the sting of the words we choose let's instead look for their beauty. It can only work if all parties agree. I tell my fourth graders you don't have to like everyone but you need to be respectful. We must be grownups- you know- do stuff we don't want to do but we do it because it's the right thing to do. We don't have to like everyone but we certainly don't need vendettas. Like my friend Confucius says: When you embark on a journey of revenge dig two graves.

Let's throw away the shovels shall we? I've had enough of graves for now.
