Vanished.

Vanished.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A prose to ponder and fear for the weekend!

"

A slight tremble crosses lashes closed,

Bright souls leave this gaol of flesh,

No hope is often the worst of all,

Clear silence has heaped in on mesh.

Dark and smog smother your body,

Breath falls heavy on my naked nape,

Grunting lasts for times unknown now,

No pleading for life just Eden's grape.

An apple of Sodom lays heavy in veins,

Sleeping comes so quick between aches,

Ticking sounded by bone not of clock,

Those nails leaving cuts like sharpened rakes.

Never fear those gone or to come in your stead,

They too have dreams to be banished,

A monster he may be we all know that,

In time my sweet we all shake and are vanished.

At first when I read this, I was not entirely positive it connected right in my mind. I read it a few more times and it still doesn't feel like I got the right notion. Funny, right? Here's where my mind went while reading this; At first, I just got this dark, smoky image. And then I shivered. Literally, your work gave me goosebumps. There's something in this piece that I truly love. Although my perception of your work is more of feelings I can't describe, I do have to say that I love it. Very well done.

A poem that is sweet and loud enough ... to draw the attention of everyone ... to the shaking that goes on with the apparent architect of our designs ... so true ... its going to cause an avalanche of rescue. Cute ... in the mystery of its ways. Well done.

Never fear those gone or to come in your stead,
They too have dreams to be banished,
A monster he may be we all know that,
In time my sweet we all shake and are vanished.

And so live and love while you can. Loved the timelessness of this piece, Thomas.

We all fear...
You write a comfort to those who feel alone and feel afraid.
We should admit "we all shake and are vanished." Yet we can live in the now without fear as well.
I enjoyed the write, finding comfort in the tone and intention.

This is a good, deep write, Thomas ~ One that I am sure people will be able to relate to if they deep enough and read not only what you've written but between it all too, loved it; great job!

and indeed I do, thank you BR
I got a feeling of sadness, loneliness in reading this. The painful parts almost a conveyance for the memories of something lost. I enjoy your writing even more now that I've been reading you for quite some time. I think because I no longer keep asking myself the question "What did he mean?" I just go with it and it speaks to me! Great job as always. :)
