I Felt a Touch Upon My Hand

I Felt a Touch Upon My Hand

A Poem by Kelly
"

Blocking those who try to help

"

I felt a touch upon my hand

A quiver in my guts

I couldn’t understand

Feeling merely nuts

He sat right beside me

Trying to get through

Yet blocked by anxieties

There was nothing he could do

I swear I felt him hold my hand

He was right in front of me

It’s hard to comprehend

That he cannot be seen

Now it’s only me

His hand’s caress is gone

The stomach ache has ceased

For I am all alone
