No More Reasons For Faith (Sonnet 1)

No More Reasons For Faith (Sonnet 1)

A Poem by NWC
"

My first Sonnet poem which starts with having no reasons to have faith in but ends in reasons to have faith in.

"

In times like this there’s no more reasons for faith

As we all like in a world where nothing is fair;

For all the ways we seek to foreverly escape the air

Of our small worlds placed on our shoulders from weight

Too heavy to see what it really is as it would lead straight

Into the heart of our hell where we circle around to glare

At our reflection on waters which’ll be our final lair

So in this game of faith try not to be your own bait.

From all the reasons for faith must we rise

To reach beyond and above a great height

Where we’d in bliss have got not

The answers which need to be bought

To finally step into the bright light

Of faith for which reasons we have got.

i really like this poem because it has a sense of desire to be on the right path but an acknowledgement of the fact that there is no right path that we can take without being miss guided.
