Right Things

Right Things

A Poem by NWC
"

A poem debating on the shady truth behind the right things and their gray consequences.

"

Oh, I’m not that old,

Young, but I’m not that bold,

My heart’s made for gold

My life it turns and folds

As it don’t do what I’m told.

Oh, the right things never

Reach us in the right time

But the wrong things always do

Enter when least expected, so

Hold onto your hope.

Oh, the wrong things make

Us do the right things eventually

Somehow for they wane

In attempts to take us to a lane

Which is right to walk without a cane.

Oh, it feels so wrong when

Doing the right things

And feels so right when

Doing the wrong things as

They keep twisting our lives.

Oh, morals give a crises causing

Confusion as sometimes nothing

Is the right thing and everything is

Wrong, so then we can only choose

The lesser evil as its the most right.
