Two lines only

Two lines only

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

written for the contest "Two lines only"

"

With but only two lines to finish this masterpiece, I pause.....a heartbeat.....

Then, I know how to finish this work of art, so I pick up my pen one last time.

You have done it again! I get this image of a writer hunched over a desk with pen in hand about to touch the page of a manuscript, face contorted by concentration, about to go in for the long haul and finish the work at hand. Very nicely done.

This is wonderful, very well put together, so much meaning in such a few words.

What a great reminder that art doesn't finish itself, we must use our imaginations and creativity.

Great how you can say so much in so few words, excellent.

I love this because it is a reminder to me that in the dryest of seasons, the most intimidating writer's blocks, I need only remember God's gift of breath and life are still mine to savor. The heartbeat is a tap on my shoulder that says, "You're alive. Bring some joy into this world I made."
