A Poem by Dali Stroesser

the hunt

the silence creeps through my fur
a breeze picks up, carries away all thought
the scents fill my mind
noise is gone from the world
the world is gone from existence
one sound will give me away
one movement will give me away
i step lightly, my presence hidden
hidden in the shadows
green is all around

it sits, waits

not one sound

not one movement

the moment comes

i spring

the end comes and goes
my core is satisfied
