My Fault, My Fear, My Future

My Fault, My Fear, My Future

A Poem by Lexi Richard

I do fear
It'll take many years
For my body to forgive my brain
To heal the wounds
Have strength resumed
And blood enrich my veins

I recall
My thoughts at nightfall
And the sick war far within
Those heavy plights
And heated fights
Scarred underneath my skin

Now I pray
Start fresh everyday
I've wasted too much time
I must forgive
Let myself live
So these next years will be mine
