Before You

Before You

A Poem by Shannon Bailey-Quesenberry
"

My very first poem inspired by the love I feel from someone special. This is not my usual style. My poetry usually revolves around sadness, anger or oddness.

"

Life before you could be oh so plain,

Sometimes filled with so much pain,

But now there is you and only you,

You to fill my life with so much bliss.

Before you there was so much disgust,

Disgust with myself and all around me,

Disgust in what some had become,

But now there is only joy in what has become.

Prose of happiness hardly ever comes from me,

But for some reason you bring forth that feeling,

You and you alone make this mess worth more,

Before you it was just chaos.

Before you there was so much sadness,

Before you so much bleakness in what I had become,

But now there is so much hope,

Hope in what I can become.

Now there is no more before you,

There is only what you have brought to me,

So much love and joy,

So much happiness no longer will there be a before you.

Not so bad for a first time love poem..
It feels warm and true...Alittle more
imagery and you right there..overall
pretty good..
