Wondrous Mind

Wondrous Mind

A Poem by Shannon Bailey-Quesenberry

As I wander this world,
What shall I find,
Meaningless tripe,
Or a wondrous mind.

For all who see,
Do you see as I see,
For those who cannot see,
I say you are better off indeed.

Speak in tongues all you dare,
For you cannot see,
What you are calling to thee,
And that is a travesty of necessity.

Speak your mind,
I do not dare,
Speak my mind,
Would you care.

Watch out for those things you say,
Look out for the messages you speak,
For all your meaningless meanderings,
Could end in your defeat.

Blessed are those with numb minds,
For your marvelous intentions,
Will always go the way,
The way of your obsessions.
