truth hurts

hello father
tell me
when did you stop loving me?

the way you throw things
the way you yell
the way you stomp your feet
father when did you stop loving me?

a depressed daughter was fear number one
loosing my virginity in high school was fear number two
cutting was fear number three
failure was the ultimate fear

just like spiders and bee's
your fears couldn't be avoided

I can relate so well to that.
I'm experiencing similar thoughts to those, except I don't think quite as painful as this poem.
I sway between wanting to hate him & then thinking he deserves my loyalty for what he has done for me in the past.
On the poem, it was really good, especially since I could relate to it.
The simple questioning works really well in this.
& btw, best thing to do is hold ya head up high & go through life vowing never to treat future kids like he did. It's what keeps me going as well as friends & my pride that won't lemme get hurt by others. (at least I try not to)
But yeah, really good poem Amelia

OMG! You are so very brave to bring this out into the open. I sincerely commend you for writing this. Sometimes bringing it out is the greatest for of therapy. I am sorry this has been a living condition which you have been forced to endure. I feel I can relate to you. I wrote a common poem: "To My Father"
