Falling into Insanity

Falling into Insanity

A Poem by Linear
"

Work it out

"
Early one morning as the sun was rising
I found myself sitting behind this coloured girl
on a bus heading down town
when I realised I didn't understand a word she said
or any of those around

So I cut on out of there, oh yeah I cut on out of there

Looking at my plasma screen
of symbols jumbled words and numbers too
I couldn't understand a thing I saw
( you getting this)

So I cut on out of there. oh yeah I cut right out of there

A white collar, with neon tie and face so red
spoke to me in angry tones
but I couldn't understand a word he said
( you with me now)

So I cut on out of there, oh yeah cut right out of there

Swarming like fleas on an underground
fat bellies with vacant eyes
all those children falling down
I couldn't understand a single thing

So I ran right out of there

Now I cant understand one word that comes from you
why dont you understand?

Oh yes there are times when one can seem bewildered...you have captured this so very well...I like the use of repetition, it makes an impact...great writing...

There are certainly those times when all seems to be confused, insane and we seem perplexed that others do not understand us as you have expressed in your write.
I like the way you follow the, "why don't I/you understand" concept through the poem!

This poem reminds me of Alzheimer's. It is a rough disease to get and in my opinion this poem describes what it would be like to have it.

I think I understand this....well written and makes me think about some times in my own life....

Peace
