LOVE LETTERS

LOVE LETTERS

A Poem by Linear
"

And so the poet writes on

"
Sitting, here alone in my chair
I wonder
Think
Ponder this life of constant ink

The paper is stretched thin
Transparent
Cold
Blank virginable white

Waiting
Stating it's own view
To be raped by my pen
Is nothing new

Ink scrawls across
Leaving a mark
A trace without fragrance
Teardrops to taste

Dry powder to dry up the dross
A tissue
To catch loves loss
Broken feather quill

Only the sound of scratching
Nib on chaste paper
To kill

I thought this was going to be something romantic..but it's a raw and stark look at your relationship with the written word..a clever and poem which draws the reader to look at their own feelings ...ingenious work my friend

Great morose kind of vibe with a very real feel. You hit on some exceptional points when it comes to what feels like the futility of writing. Great work.

I like no love the imagery in this poem. We can write about lost love and new love on paper and the way you describe the art of writing in this poem is creative and unique. I like the details and the word choices.

I liked it very simply expressed, yet it says so much. Even though many writers experience the same thing when it comes to writing the uniqueness is how we express it. I like this expression. Very well done :)

and you expose the complex chambers of it beautifully through pouring ink~

The way you express your words allow the reader to want to see into your thoughts. So many strong statements in this poem.

A excellent poem. Your words always test my mind.

this is possibly one of the most original things I've read on here - "...paper waiting, stating its own view, to be raped by my pen" - violent, yet considering such amazing poetry, beautiful.
