About the love of my life.

The words that are supposed to say the most don’t seem to say enough

‘I love you’ isn’t going to tell you how much I truly care

It’s not even going to begin to let you know how I always want you to be there

 

There’s a spark in you that lights up every darkened dream

Your love is the way all love should seem

 

A desire to tell you all this and so much more

All these words are all that my heart could ever pour

 

“I love you” isn’t what I think of when I replay all the times you’ve made me smile

So simple of words, that may never be made worthwhile

 

I’ll never be the same because of you

A better person, and a better life is what you have brought me into

 

“I love you” isn’t the way to tell you how I’ve spent countless days wondering just what happiness was

 

You are, the only happiness I’ll ever need

I’ve told my head to listen to my heart and you have make it succeed

 

“I love you” doesn’t seem right when the only words that I feel tonight, are “You and me”

 

Together no words could mean more

And you are all that I have ever hoped for
