Burdened by my thoughts cus I'm just not tired
This poem's about the time the girl caught fire
Screaming for the desire
To desire anything at all.

I particularly enjoyed this piece, Elizabeth, most especially for its open honesty and for how it expresses deep need, frustration at not sating it, aching and yearning for satisfaction … even to simply feel the alluring depths of desire.
Free Style poetry can really pull the reader with you into your moment when penned as brilliantly as this wee proportioned verse does me … brings the olde saw, "dynamite comes in small packages" entirely to life.

Yes, it is tough when a lady longs for desire, but it just won't come … whom could sleep with such a thought?
I'm in the hills just west of Austin, and also have a home in Houston.

Desire gives birth to life. A small poem about girl's insomnia.

I really like this because of its short length. It's like a little glimpse into insomnia at four in the morning. The last two lines are really lovely and, even if it's short, it conveys a lot of emotion and longing.

Thank you! Originally, I tossed this. But I had kept replaying the words in my mind for months and it was just so loud that I finally had to jot it down and keep it. I've become really proud of it. I'm grateful to see you can understand it. :)
