A Play of Light

A Play of Light

A Poem by Louisa Chan

The ebb and flow of light

Below my roof in sight

The varied slants they seem

My life’s bending beam

The sudden change of shade

Between the gray and fade

As change in playing roles

Along the highs and lows

So much to ride this tide

The salmon too will stride

Unseen perpetual waves

As high as lonely graves

This canopy of life

Just like the play of light

May once be bold and bright

Although it’s soon in flight

Louisa, start to finish you've coloured such scenes and used very original meter.
Have read the following three times, has left fine pictures in my mind, thank you!

Take care of yourself, keep safe.
