The Coolest Season

The Coolest Season

A Poem by Louisa Chan
"

in remembrance of my dad

"

That breeze permeating my silky dress

That scent sweeping by my curvy hair

That autumn playing out a magic spell

That season unfurling a cooling breath

That you and me stand barrier free

That Nature wraps us in its gentle arms

That Time begins losing momentum

That you've come from a land afar

This space in my heart

This still moment expands

To hold you dear again

Before the season steals away

Your poem is such a loving tribute to your dear father, Louisa; every word is beautiful but the following really touches the heartstrings,

'That you and me stand barrier free
That Nature wraps us in its gentle arms
That Time begins losing momentum
That you've come from a land afar'
